Day 29: Picture of you and the person you've been close with for a long time...

My sister is definitely the person that I've been closest to the longest. She takes me to movies(like Megamind!!!) and is constantly buying me big presents and lots of food. She is such a great sister, and a fantastic friend. Kimber has been my best friend through all of our tough moves from state to state and can always make me laugh. Thanks, Lee-Lou!!

Oh yeah...About That...

I forgot to say that I am a BLONDE Lucy Van Pelt. I ended up refusing any artificialness. My mother is a bit irked, but she'll get over it. I think I'm very crabby-esque on stage, and that covers for it. :) I can't help it if the stage lights on my hair make me look like I have a halo.

Rediscovered Band + New Band = Eternal Happiness for the Ears

Just a quick note on the previous post--I am NOT a celiac!! :D I can eat many bagels and donuts and pastas and all of that lovely stuff. However, I AM lactose-intolerant...AGAIN. Mom says that I'm just intolerant in general. Ha ha, Mom. Now on to the topic of today's post...

I am currently obsessed with two bands...well, more like one guy's voice and another band. The rediscovered band/fantastic guy's voice is....Panic! At the Disco! I LOVE Brendon Urie. I've decided I don't care how many times he gets high a week, I still love his freakin' vocal-chords. :) The NEW band is called My Favorite Highway. When I try to tell people about them, this is usually what it sounds like:
Me: Have you ever heard of 'My Favorite Highway'?
Them: No, what is it? I-15?
Me: No. It's a band.
Them:Your favorite highway is a band? I don't get it...

And then I go on explaining to Them that My Favorite Highway is this fantastic group that has everything I like in their music. Then I bring up the sad truth that they broke up in December 2010, right BEFORE I found out about them! Merg.

Also. "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" is now playing in the Hurricane Community Theater for the next 2 weekends and this up-coming Monday. It's pretty entertaining. :) The Van Pelt siblings are the best part, if I do say so myself. Come and remember your childhood...Unless you were born after the 1970's...Then this is basically just whole bunch of snippets from the Classic Peanuts comic strip. Also, Today is April 5, 2011, and it is 9:35 pm. I don't know why it says otherwise.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown!

It's hard to believe that our cast has just over 4 weeks 'til opening night!!! We started rehearsals in January and the production is in April. Oh boy, oh boy. I was cast as Lucy Van Pelt (for my personality, I'm sure) despite the fact that my hair is not NEARLY Lucy's color. I believe I shall be wearing a wig or have EXTREMELY WASHABLE hair dye. That is probably the part that I'm the most scared about. The hair. Not the acting or singing or being on stage in front of a ton of people, just the hair. The other stuff is what I'm excited about!!
Another quick update is that I will be getting tested for Celiac Disease (A condition where the digestive system cannot handle a wheat product called gluten) pretty soon. Which means I have to get my blood drawn. NOT my cup of tea. For the longest time I've been having stomach problems, but it was just brushed off as something else. I've tried going off gluten before, however, it was only for a week or two and it didn't help. My father has just informed me that a week or two is not long enough to determine the helpfulness of a gluten-free diet. Therefore, we decided that I shall be tested. Joy.
Although there are a few other things going on in my life right now, these are the only ones I actually feel like posting about. And so, I conclude.
